Organizations is an OEM feature that allows you to define user organizations and assign users (local and Single Sign-On) to these organizations. Privileges for report folders can be specified per organization. User groups with identical names can exist among the user organizations, and privileges can be granted based on the organization, organization+group, and per group. This feature aids in managing privileges in multi-organization installations.
Permissions can be defined by organization, group, or both.
User organizations consist of two fields: name and external ID. The external ID is the identifier passed in from the Single Sign-On server. For detailed information, refer to Single Sign-On (SSO) / User organization with SSO.
