I'd like to upgrade, but my proxy is blocking access to the auto-updater (yes, i tried to configure the proxy within myDBR settings but still didn't work). How do I go about doing a manual update?

Easiest ways is to figure out your proxy setting. Doing the update via automatic update will save you lot of work. For the proxy not working, myDBR utilizes php_curl if it is installed in the server. php_curl uses bit different way of dealing with the proxy, so if you do not have php_curl installed, you might want to give it a shot to see if proxy would work with it.

For manual update, download the new version and extract it. Replace mydbr_config.php and mydbr/user-directory from your old installation. Change SETUP_DONE to false from mydbr_config.php and access myDBR. myDBR checks the database and runs the update for the database.

  4. Please can you point me to the documentation of the new features of 2.8 and 2.9 - I can't seem to find them in the documentation.

    Thanks

Was there something particular you were looking for?

Version 2.8 was concentrated on UI issues bringing Tabs and Accordions to myDBR. Documentation and examples of these can be found at:

Version 2.9 among other things enhanced the linked reports, documentation and examples can be found at:

    myDBR Team -

php_curl was exactly what I needed to get my proxy working, after that, upgrading was a breeze. Thanks! :)

Run the updater again to get a fix. The version will become 2.9.0/1113.
