    Hi,
    myDBR Team is happy to announce the the availability of myDBR 2.1 release.

    The version is a maintenance release with new features.

    New features include:

    • Ability to send report content via text messages (SMS)
    • Ability copy and duplicate existing reports
    • Support for SVG charts
    • New and improved charts (funnel, bubble)

    Improvements:

    • Added checks for misconfigured Active Directory installations
    • Microsoft SQL Server support improvements
    • Improved filtering
    • SSO connection now remembers direct reports before login
    • Mozilla fixes
    • Graphviz chart linking improvements
    • Better ionCube loader wizard

    As always, you can update to new version using the myDBR's automatic updater.

    Hi,

    I tried to upgrade my DBR from 2.0 to 2.1. Something wents wrong.
    (The form freezed and after that, myDBR fails during startup)

    Recovered an older version from backup (files from V 1.7) but
    the Database entry wants version 2.0.1.

    Any ideas ?

    Can I reinstall the new version without losing existing reports ?

    Hi,
    what is the error that you get during startup? Any idea what went wrong in the update?

    To update to 2.1 manually, download the latest version and follow the manual update method. You just need to replace myDBR related files on server (you can keep the user-directory of you have made changes there) and run the database update script. The update script keeps the existing reports intact.

    All myDBR related things are in myDBR database, so you can always make a backup of that.

    SMS sending is included in the 2.1 release (included both in Community and Premium version).

    I'd like to know what I do with sending this SMS

    this is what's important.
    can I update one mysql tab with the SMS?

    With SMS sending you can send report data directly to the user's phones via SMS. This is the functionality avaiable in myDBR.

    In order to update database via SMS would require you to have a 2-way SMS gateway and an interface layer to receive the incoming messages and pass the incoming message to myDBR. Since this would be an work that would need custom integration, it is not included in myDBR. Doing such such integration would be quite easy.
