   Hello MyDBR Team,

   After posting this, I tried again and this time, somehow Google did generate a key for me. I updated the extensions-init.php file and tried out a sample query 'French sightseeing' and it worked perfectly.

   Google has several API's for the maps. myDBR's extension uses Google Maps Javascsript API V2 which does require a free API key from Google. Just follow the documentation and you should be fine.
