   Can I request to have feature to have Authentication Against IMAP Email Server. User enter Email username and email password to get authenticated

   Do you wish just to do authentication with email username / password? Email authentication would not be able to provide any groups to define the permissions.

   You can do that with custom Single Sign-On module.

   The Process of Authorization (Access rights) is controlled by Mydbr
