    Hello myDBR Representative,

How are you doing? I am trying to create links in a report between corresponding records on different tabs. Is it possible to link a record to an anchor on a separate tab? My hope is that a user will be able to see a detailed view of the record without having to wait for another report to generate (for a linked reported that is inline or popup).

Usually different tabs contain different entities and therefore there is no direct way of linking to and opening another tab. You can do it by embedding the target to another tab and then opening it in JavaScript, but the concept might confuse user as you are moving between tabs without direct user interaction.

Usually the linked reports should be opened closer to original data (inline and popup are good candidates) so the user does not lose the context where (s)he is. The linked reports usually are not that slow as you already are passing ID's to look for and therefore you can usually see that the queries are optimized.

Ok. Thanks for providing those options.
