    Hi there,

Had set up myDBR and working fine.

Had an issue with certain users which forced me to 301 them to www so of course the license is not valid.

Leaves me in a bit of a quandary.

is it not possible for the license to cover by xyz.com as well as http://www.xyz.com?

I understand the license is per domain but really they are the same domain.

And I just realized I signed up to the forums under my personal email address and can't even ask you to send me an amended license because you don't know who it's for.

I'll check in the morning and see what you suggest.

    Regards

    Hi,
myDBR license is bound to the hostname. While xyz.com and http://www.xyz.com are usually pointing into the same place, they are techically different. What you can do is choose one of them as your preferred destination and redirect traffic from another one to the chosen one.

Hi, I understand that they are technically different but in practical application I don't think anyone has ever served different content from one vs the other. They are not treated as subdomains by anyone.

My issue is exactly because I found it necessary to force redirection from one to the other in order to alleviate an issue being experienced by one specific clients users whose network infrastructure I can't control.

With respect to www or not it just seems pointless for zero sum gain.

    Hi,
the licensing system works based on the domain/subdomain name. The 'www'-subdomain is treated as any other subdomain.

If you continue to have problems, please contact the support via email.
