   hi,

   I am not sure if this can be considered feature request but is it possible to have an alternative to the syntax of "type=select" with following select statement in dbr.editable and instead of simple select statement have something like "autocomplete" type of functionality by specifying stored proc - just like Autocomplete report parameter.

   When result set of select is really large - having autocomplete functionality is important for usability.

   There actually already is 'autocomplete' editable type. See documentation. The feature was added in version 5.7.6 build 4069.
