    Hello All,

I'm setting up a new Mydbr, actually it's almost done.
I have set up SSO/Google Cloud auth, that works fine.

Now I'm trying to get a group assigned to users who login using Google Cloud account.

    The documentation says:

    User's Groups
The authentication protocol contains optional parameter groups that can be used to define SSO user's groups separated by '|'. The parameter contains a list of groups the user belongs to.

Can someone offer additional info on this, maybe an example?
I have to admin from the docs alone I cannot figure out how to get this done.

    Many thanks,
    J.

The authentication protocol describes the myDBR authentication for Single Sign-On. In there, you an pass the groups for example from your ERP-system to myDBR when your EPR system is assigned to be the SSO server for myDBR.

Google authentication does simply the authenctication. You can set the groups inside myDBR "Users" once the user has a valid login in myDBR via Google.

    Hello,

    thanks for the reply.
So if I understand it correctly, in SSO you can pass the groups but Google Auth is not SSO?

    Many thanks.

    greetings, j.

Google Auth also serves as an SSO server, but since your Google account does not have any groups, it will not pass any to myDBR.

In case of myDBR SSO protocol, when you implement it in your application, the protocol includes capability to pass groups (and additional info) from your application to myDBR.
