  1. I've installed php 5.2 and confirmed it to be running. I've installed the ioncube and have an entry in php.ini and verified with ioncube that it's happy. I'm running windows...yes windows xp pro with IIS 5.1.

Now when I get the first screen for install and I get the CONTINUE button. When I click on it, it does nothing, and will eventually timeout. Any clue what I did wrong?

    Hello,

In order to identify the problem, can you please let us know the URL of the page where the installation hangs?

What is the title of the screen where you click to continue button?

Also if possible, can you check from your server log if there are any error messages?

    Thank you,

    myDBR Team

  3. That was a good clue.
    https://localhost:80/mydbr/install/index.php?controller=install&action=validate

    is the URL.

    Welcome to myDBR Installation

    is the screen title.

If I change the url to http I can get to the next screen, but it doesn't solve the problem.

    No errors on the server.

    Hi,
You are using https with port 80. Is that a configuration you have set up? Are you trying to use https or http?

If I change the url to http I can get to the next screen, but it doesn't solve the problem.

You do reach the next screen with title "Environment Prerequisites Validation"? What is the output there? What is the problem in that screen?

  5. I'm not trying to use https with port 80. I hover over the button and that is the url I see. Using firebug, I'm able to change it to http and I'm able to go all the way through the install, no errors. I had to do this for each screen. I'm also seeing the HTTPS on the link for the upgrade. Not sure why it chooses https vs http but after install, there is no after effects.

    Thanks for the help,

Glad that you got through the installer. It should work without tinkering, so we would be interested what is causing this for you.

What was the original URL you are using started the myDBR installer? When did the https and the port number appear in the URL?

Was the original URL http://localhost/mydbr/ or https://localhost:80/mydbr/?

  7. It was http://localhost/mydbr. I got the installer to work on a laptop and the only difference I can see is that fastcgi on the good machine is version 1.5.1 RC1. All the others I've tried it on have 1.0 and have the same problem.
