installing mydbr on xampp

    Hi everyone,

    Where do you place the mydbr folder on XAMPP.

    Hi there,

    you can put myDBR in any directory that is accessible to your web-server. If you installed XAMPP in the standard way, this directory is \xampp\htdocs.

    So if you put myDBR in \xampp\htdocs\mydbr, you will be able to access myDBR from http://localhost/mydbr.

    Hi,

    I did that and went to http://localhost/mydbr and got the error below:

    Before you can start using myDBR the ionCube loader needs to be installed on your server. myDBR is a compiled application that can only function with the ionCube loader installed

    Download ionCube loader ToDo
    Download the loader installation package for Windows

    If the above link is incorrect, please visit ioncube.com for a complete list of loaders and download the package appropriate for your server configuration

    Copy loader to extension directory ToDo
    From the ionCube installation package copy the file
    ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll
    to directory
    C:\xampp\php\ext/

    Add loader to php.ini ToDo
    Add the following line to
    C:\xampp\apache\bin\php.ini

    zend_extension = C:\xampp\php\ext/ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll
    Restart your web-server ToDo
    Finally restart your web-server and reload this page.

    Please consult the ionCube installation guide for further information

    I then tried to follow these steps, but still I cant go pass this page.

    If you see the message above, your ionCube install setup has not been completed. Make sure you have added the zend_extension to php.ini and rebooted the server. Also check for the server error log for any possible errors when the server is started.

    To test the ionCube installation create a file called test.php under you web root and put following code inside it:

    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

    Then access the file through your web server using your browser.

    You should see your php configuration. Look for following text in the output:

    "with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd."

    Hi,

    I've created test.php file and ran it on my browser, but there is no "with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd." on the output. Did I miss something.

    You are still missing the ionCube extension.

    Try to do following:

    1) Make sure you have a line
    zend_extension = C:\xampp\php\ext\ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll

    in your php.ini located at C:\xampp\apache\bin\php.ini

    Place the line right after the other extensions you may have there.

    2) Check that ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll exist in C:\xampp\php\ext directory.

    3) Restart the web server. You should now see the ionCube message alongside the Zend Engine messages.

    A correction to the install instruction. You have a thread safe PHP running, so the extension loading should read:

    zend_extension_ts = C:\xampp\php\ext\ioncube_loader_win_5.2.dll

    Hi I've tried that,but i get the new error:

    "This application has failed to start because php5.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

    Most likely you have not enabled the php5 from apache config. Open the apache config file httpd.conf and see if you have configuration like this in it:

    LoadModule php5_module "c:/wamp/bin/php/php5.2.8/php5apache2_2.dll"

    The actual module location varies depending on your setup.

    I'm getting same erron and I do not know wheter the php.ini needs to be relocarted into apache/bin folder.

    You may check the active php.ini configuration file by executing phpinfo. In XAMPP there should be a ready made phpinfo-file if you point your browser to:

    http://localhost/xampp/phpinfo.php

    where 'localhost' is the server you are using. Look for "Loaded Configuration File" setting from the output.

    just FYI the newest version of XAMPP uses just the single php.ini file mentioned: xampp/php/php.ini. that is indeed the file you will want to edit.
