Reinstalling

  1. Am getting the following error, and can see no other issue in this forum like it. There just looks like no way past it.

    Error message...
"Your license file "licensekey.txt" does not match the application or is corrupted. Please check your installation"

    Check what?

myDBR is compiled with the ionCube loader. When the myDBR starts, it checks the compiled code against a ionCube license file ioncube.txt. If the license key does not match the application, the error is show.

However, the error message in myDBR says 'Your license file "ioncube.txt"...', so it looks that in addition of not finding the correct license file, myDBR does not even find the error message file. Did the error page have a header stating "myDBR Installation - Installation error" with red background?

Easiest way to fix things is to redownload the myDBR installation file from myDBR.com and start from beginning. If you already have the database set up, myDBR will preserve the installation.

  3. The error message was just as stated in the initial post.

I have already deleted everything twice and redownladed and reuploaded the package.

Does the error page have a header stating "myDBR Installation - Installation error" with red background? What else than the error message is shown in the page?

  5. All the web page shows is the myDBR logo and below it a yellow background box with this text centred in it...

    Installation error

Your license file "licensekey.txt" does not match the application or is corrupted. Please check your installation

There is something weird with the installation / server ionCube setup as the error message you are getting comes from ionCube loader, not from myDBR itself.

Have you managed to install myDBR or are you just starting the install?
What is the ionCube version you have installed?
What is the URL that is showing this (you can hide the host name)?
What is the server you are using?
What is the sw you have used to unzip the myDBR installation?

  7. OK it looks like my unzip was corrupt somehow.

I have downloaded again, unzipped, uploaded to serve rand installed ok this time.

    Thanks for your help.
