Upload file to import?

    Hi,

With importing data, the documentation says the options are importing it from a 'local' file and a 'remote' file. Does 'local' mean local to the browser and thus the file is uploaded and imported, or local to the mydbr server meaning you need server access to upload a file?

'Remote' is clear, it means a server accessible by URL (which could be on the mydbr server or in another place).

I'd like to provide a way for people to upload a file to add data but I suspect this isn't currently possible.

The 'local' in the documentation means the file in user's computer (or otherwise accessible by browser's open file dialog).

The remote file as you said, is behind an URL.

Currently the import reads the tab-separated file into the database. Arbitary file uploads are usually stored into the server's filesystem with possible reference in the database.

Thanks - that clarifies thing. I think this is just what I was hoping for.
