myDBR License

A separate license is required for each myDBR installation. Licenses are associated with a specific server hostname and installation path. You can purchase or manage licenses at the myDBR shop.

Requesting a License​

Manage your existing licenses or request new ones through the myDBR shop. If myDBR detects that no valid license is installed, it will automatically provide a direct link to the request page.

Once you receive your license via email, copy the text between the ----- clip lines and paste it into the setup screen or the Licenses tab within the application.

Note: If myDBR does not accept a new license, ensure your installation is updated to the latest version. Licenses are always generated for the current version of the software. Refer to Updating myDBR for details.

Determining License Requirements​

Each distinct myDBR instance requires its own license.

For example, if you install myDBR on a local workstation accessed via https://localhost/mydbr, you need a license for the localhost domain. When you deploy the same application to a production server at https://www.myserver.com/mydbr, a second license for www.myserver.com is required.

License Key Information​

A myDBR license includes the following fields:

  • Owner: The registered name of the license holder.
  • Mail: The email address associated with the license.
  • Host: The primary hostname used to access myDBR. If your installation uses a non-standard port, it must be included in this field (e.g., reports.mycompany.com:8080).
  • Company: The name of the organization using myDBR.
  • DB: The type of database system used (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Expiration: The date the license expires (formatted as YYYY-MM-DD).
  • Type: The license tier (e.g., Community, Premium, OEM).
  • Version: The minimum required myDBR version. If your current version is older than this value, you must update before the license can be activated.
  • Key: The unique cryptographic signature generated by the myDBR team.
