I had mydbr 7.0 installed with build 5211
We upgraded to php 8.3.6 from php 8.1
This resulted in not being able to enter the mydbr portal - It said something about a SourceGuardian mismatch.

So I went to the https://mydbr.com/ home page where at the bottom it shows a heading "Latest Discussion"
    with three items under it

    myDBR 7.1 - "PHP 8.4 support"
    2025-03-03 12:00:55

    myDBR 7.0 - "User requests"
    2024-11-21 11:15:12

    myDBR 6.9 - "PHP 8.3 support"
    2024-04-08 07:49:21

So I went to the downloads page and downloaded the zip file next to PHP 8.3 which I assumed to be a later build of mydbr version 7.0
After installing everything and entering the mydbr portal, the about/update link now shows
    myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233)

I am just concerned that this might cause a problem being that I have php 8.3.6 and not php 8.4
and again your home page says
    myDBR 7.1 - "PHP 8.4 support"
    So can you
    a) Resolve my confusion
    b) Reassure me that I won't have a problem where myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233) might conflict with PHP 8.3
    Thanks

myDBR is encoded for each PHP version (some builds cover multiple PHP versions). The build for each PHP version behaves the same — for example, the PHP 8.1 version works exactly the same way as the PHP 8.3 version.

When upgrading from PHP 8.1 to PHP 8.3, you need to update your SourceGuardian loader to match the new PHP version. Additionally, download the corresponding myDBR build for PHP 8.3.

To update myDBR for a different PHP version, perform a manual update. See the documentation for instructions.

    You write:
Additionally, download the corresponding myDBR build for PHP 8.3.

Thats what I am trying to figure out.
Which mydbr version/build corresponds to PHP 8.3.6
According to your home page mydbr.com, version 6.9 should have been enough.
But upgrading SourceGardian alone did not work even though I have myDBR 7.0.0 (build 5211)
So I went to your Downloads page and downloaded the zip file next to the words PHP 8.3 and installed it and after installation my mydbr portal said that I was now using mydbr version 7.1 and build 5233

So thats what I did for one of our servers.
I am wondering if instead of downloading that zip file (that generates version 7.1 and build 5233) I can instead BEFORE upgrading to php 8.3.6, go into my web portal and click update for myDBR 7.0.0 (build 5212) and that will be enough.

And alsoI am wondering if having installed myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233) on my first server, if that might conflict with PHP 8.3.6 (since the web page says this version supports PHP 8.4)

The currrent myDBR version (as of now) is myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233). This is the same for all different myDBR PHP versions.

To download the PHP 8.3 version go to download page and choose the PHP 8.3 version and do the manual update. Make sure you have the correct Sourceguardian loader installed.

Ok thanks, I understand now that myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233) will not cause a problem for a server having PHP 8.3.6

My remaining question, is can I upgrade a server to myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233) without having to do a MANUAL update?
Meaning, just like in the past I have been able to update the mydbr version/build by going into the myDBR portal, clicking on About/Update, and then clicking on Update?
So is there a way to get the About/Update window Update button to cause an update to myDBR 7.1.0 (build 5233) without doing a manual download and update?

When you update to a different PHP version, the update must be done manually, as different PHP versions cannot run simultaneously. The manual update consists of simply replacing the myDBR application with the new one, while keeping the old user directory and the mydbr_config.php file.

Once you have updated the PHP version and the myDBR application, you can continue using the automatic updater.
